Should you have a right to re-vote if Sound Transit is 100% over budget.  They don’t think so..

Phil testifying on SB 5892, holding the Seattle times article about Sound Transit being 46% over budget on the train crossing the I 90 bridge.

My SB 5892 would allow voters a chance to affirm or cancel projects that are more than 20 percent over budget after two years. That means  the project would actually be closer to 45 percent over budget.  Sound Transit’s allies howled at the bill, so I amend it to have the re-vote if 100% over budget.  They still voted against it.  That means they have no confidence in the budgets they are giving voters.
